Help dart calculator X01

Play X01

This is the help documentation for the dartcalculator X01.
On this page you will find how the dartcalculator works and which calculations are used.

How does it work

Click on the dartboard and the score will be transferred to the fields above the dartboard.
To calculate your score, click on the "Calculate" button in the column below your name.

You can also use the "quick write" function.
These are the green buttons above the dartboard with a number on it.
Click on the value you have thrown and the "Calculate" button in the column below your name.

At least one dart must be filled before you can calculate the score.

In case you have "no score", simply click on the border of the dartboard.
0 will be filled above the dartboard.

When you make a mistake, click on the "undo" button and your old score will be back.
You can go back 1 throw.

Using keyboard only

For those of you who prefer using the keyboard.

Player shortcut keys
w = Won leg*
u = Undo last throw
enter = Calculate score
s= More statistics

*When winning a leg you will be asked how many darts you used to finish the leg.
Fill in a valid number and press enter.
An invalid input will result in "no calculation" and return to the current leg.
You will need to fill in your score again.

Checkout percentage

Space is used for the calculation of the checkout percentage.
In the image below space has been pressed twice.

#

This means two darts have been aimed at the double and missed.
This is done because it can not be determined how may darts have been aimed at the double.

Pressing the spacebar 4 times will return the value to 0
If you like to know your checkout percentage you can use it.

What do all those numbers mean?

Below you find a screenshot of the "calculating" part of the screen (dartboard excluded)
#

Explanation numbers

T18 - First dart thrown
10 - Second dart thrown
64 - Total (dart1 + dart2 + dart3)
96 - Score left player One (Karin)
32 - Score left - total
32 - Number of darts thrown to reach 96 (so excluding darts filled)
D16 - Suggestion throw out

The green buttons with a number on it are the "Quick write" buttons.

Extra functions

Clicking on the "total" field will result in clearing all the darts thrown.
Clicking on the value for dart1, dart2 or dart3 will result in clearing the specific dart field.

Statistics

Below you find a screenshot of the "statistic" part of the screen
#

Here you find the values you have thrown.

After each leg a line is set with the leg number included.

"undo" means that the number before the word "undo" has been undone.

"won" means that this player has won the leg.
In this example; player one has won the first leg.

These fields show the sets and legs won for each player and
how many time a value, equal or more than 100, has been thrown.

At the bottom you will find the statistics of the total match:
Highest throw out, Overall average, highest leg average, total number of darts thrown, total number of points thrown and how many legs each person has won.

Calculations used.

Depending on the darts thrown, three different calculations are used:
- No score
- Normal throw
- Player wins leg (or set)

The number of darts thrown for each player during the entire game are stored.
The same is done for the overall values thrown for each player.

- No score
The overall total points thrown keeps the same.
Overall number of darts thrown is increased by 3.
Scoreleft player keeps the same.
The average results in "gametype(501/301) - scoreleft / number of darts thrown"
The overall average results in "overall total points thrown / overall number of darts thrown"

- Normal throw
The overall total points thrown is increased with value thrown.
Overall number of darts thrown is increased by 3.
Scoreleft player is "scoreleft player - value thrown".
The average results in "(gametype(501/301) - scoreleft) / number of darts thrown"
The overall average results in "overall total point thrown / overall number of darts thrown"

- Player wins leg (or set)
The overall total points thrown is increased with value thrown.
Overall number of darts thrown is increased by number of darts thrown (can be one).
Scoreleft player is "scoreleft player - value thrown". Will be 0
The average results in "(gametype(501/301)) / number of darts thrown"
The overall average results in "overall total point thrown / overall number of darts thrown"

Known bugs

When using keyboard only you can see some strange values in the dartvalue fields.

For instance:
dart1=130, dart2=0, dart3=D1
Meaning: three darts thrown for throw out 132.

This does not matter for the statistics.
The endresult is the same.
See calculations used.
